All the important men in my life up until now have been baseball fans. Heck, Ted Turner owned the Braves while we were together.… Click for more
GENERAL NEW YEAR THOUGHTS
It has been hard to blog since the 20th, after Bridget and Danny’s party. Getting ready for the arrival of my non-L.A-based family, finishing with presents, wrapping, sending, checking the list thrice and all the while working to remain calm and centered as I watch my partner (Richard) doing the opposite—that is to say, waiting until the last minute to shop, scrambling to have someone else wrap at the last minute, putting together what turned out to be a sensational compilation of Christmas songs.… Click for more

Last night my dear friends from the past–Laurel Lyle and David Hodges saw the show and came back stage. David was the director of the Laurel Springs Children’s Camp that my husband, Tom Hayden, and I ran in California for 15 years.… Click for more
Abe Lincoln
Today’s 200th anniversary of Abraham Lincoln is being celebrated around the country (and with special fanfare in DC). My friend and former publicist, Stephen Rivers, just sent me an email telling me that playwright Tony Kushner, who is writing the screenplay for Steven Spielberg’s film about Lincoln, says he thinks that John Ford’s “Young Mr.… Click for more
