I love, “Grace and Frankie!” I was just turned onto the show by a long-time friend. Of course, watching the show got me more curious about Jane and Lily as people… I greatly admire their humor, honesty, and activism… from women’s empowerment to climate change, these ladies are strong.

Considering the interconnectedness of all things, I would like to humbly request that anyone who is serious about issues such as feminism, racism, environmentalism, or any other well-known “ism,” please add speciesism to the list. Speciesism is the most pervasive and harmful “ism” that’s ever existed… it is the idea that humans are superior to everyone else on on Earth and therefore have the “right” to torture, kill, and otherwise oppress and destroy any and all other sentient life. Any feminist, environmentalist, spiritual, etc. person cannot be congruent without also being vegan (sorry, I know a lot of people don’t like that word)… the use, abuse, and slaughter of non-human animals for human consumption is devastating to non-human animals (who feel physical and emotional pain, who form attachments to their families and friends, who are too much like humans for us to willfully ignore their suffering), to marginalized communities, to the environment (through deforestation, release of greenhouse gases, water consumption, animal waste, and more), and it’s devastating to human health (and the precious economy)… there’s a lot to know and there are loads of books, research papers, documentaries, websites, products, and groups to help you get there. ☮️❤️
