I just see that Jane has been nominated for an Emmy. for her documentary. I want to congratulate her. Those of us who admire Jane for all of her life experiences and what they have taught her and how her growth has elevated us in our lives ,loved seeing Jane’s life more completely. We love you, Jane! • I just finished watching Grace and Frankie for the third time and reading “My Life So Far” the same number of times. In addition, I have watched many movie clips, interviews, and awards given to Jane.
What can I say! We all feel like best women friends of Jane’s at this point due to her intimate and excellently written memoir. It is like I have been sitting with Jane for hours as she discusses her amazing life. I am sad; I want more.
Jane, you have packed more life into your life than most of could accomplish in 2 or 3 lives. You are extremely intelligent, insightful, just remarkable.
My life has been similar to yours- naivete about everything in life ’til in my fifties, having a “prickly, brilliant daughter” who thought I did not give her enough attention and intimacy, and recently a move from sophisticated Washington DC to South Carolina where religion has a great presence. I am not religious nor were most of my friends in the north. By reading Jane’s explanation about why the people of the south are the way they are, I understand the life here better.
So, Jane Fonda, please write more. I want to know the books you read to help you become spiritual without believing in the dogma presented by Christianity, why you dated Richard Perry, how you like it now being unattached to a man.
I am flying with some friends to see you In London. I only wish I had bought my tickets early enough to be a part of the 100 people to meet you after the show.
Continue to be as happy as you look now.
I only hope the Grace and Frankie, your movies, and your writing go on indefinitely so that all of us can enjoy you for a long time!
      Jane G.
