Robert, I remember vividly my visit to Ft Ord. It was very important to me. I totally agree with you about the importance of separating the servicemen (and now women) from the politics of war. Everyone in the […]

I totally hear you, Karyn. We have to TOTALLY change our whole economic system and governing philosophy: unregulated, global capitalism and unchecked growth. Enough is enough and if we don’t get it and make the […]

I could barely settle into the excitement of the Grace & Frankie Premiere on May 8th, before I was off to Cannes.
I attend the festival as a Brand Ambassador for Loreal, as I have for the past several […]

Jose, Ha! I love that! There was no lily pad. It was the inside of my space craft…or maybe it was his spacecraft…it was plastic and the light shone into it. Vadim, my husband and the director of the film, […]

Ah the Netflix of it all! I got on a plane Friday morning to fly from New York to Los Angeles. Grace & Frankie had streamed that midnight. By the time I landed in L.A. and opened my cell phone, I had received […]
Dear Jane,
First of all, I would like to commend you on your astounding work you do not just for the entertainment industry but also for saving our planet. Not alot of people now a days would stand up for that and I greatly admire your conviction. You are a great role model especially for today’s youth.
The pandemic took a great toll in me mentally. I never thought it would affect me this much. The lack of social interaction put me through depression and I am very much ashamed of what has become of me. I became withdrawn and my anxiety level is over the edge. My visa application to New Zealand was witheld due to the lockdowns and it worsened my state. Everyday was a struggle. Theraphy was not a regular thing because of the situation. A friend suggested me to watch Grace and Frankie in the hopes that it will pull me out of my reverie. Surprisingly, my pent up emotions slowly realeased and I felt much lighter. Your show has given me much hope that despite struggles there will always be a light of the day. I have a long way to go in my recovery but I know I will get there. Can’t wait for the rest of the episodes in season 7. Hope you are keeping safe there. God bless you more and thanks again.

Only one more day until Grace and Frankie becomes available on NETFLIX! Netflix has truly changed the television landscape. It gives viewers the choice about when and how to watch their favorite programs, so you […]
Hi Jane and Lily. I am addressing both of you as a duo because I recently watched a YouTube video where Lily said that if I need to reach out to her I can go through your blog Jane. So this is me reaching out to both. Sorry can’t pick a favorite. You both are equally awesome, but life-changing together. I am 36 years old. Not sure why that matters, but it kind of does. I can’t say my friends feel the same way about ya’ll only because they have kids and messy lives so don’t have time to binge watch Grace & Frankie 4 times. Actually, I’ve probably watched the entire series more than that, but you get the point. So, I watched a few YouTube videos this morning and was in tears from laughing so much. This leads me to a very important question: As funny as you two are, how do you come up with your material for the show? I mean, I feel like you could have a normal conversation with each other and just turn that into a script. Also, how do you hold in your laughter while filming? Or do you do a lot of it before getting the take? I’d love to sit in a room with you two and just chat. Though highly unlikely, I’ve added that to my bucket list. I have goals! Your talents and genuine humor have added joy to my life. Depression and anxiety suck, but laughing helps. I am thankful for you two. Thank you for all that you do. Best to you both.
Thanks, Stephanie, for your very nice email. I will share with Lily

You received so many awards, Jane. After so many of them do you still have that feeling of being honored when you receive a new one? Do awards mean a lot to you? I guess you don’t need any to feel yourself successful and worth it and appreciated anymore. I was wondering whether they still mean something to you and what is the best way of appreciation for you in your professional and personal life?
Yes, awards mean something to me still unless I know that I;’m receiing the award just so the organization can sell rickets.
