While neither presidential candidate had very good climate plans, we certainly got the worst case scenario. His cabinet selections are reinforcing his indifference to protect the environment. A bill was recently passed that will allow them to list any non-profit they don’t like as a “terrorist organization” which will strip these organizations of their tax exempt status. It is believed the upcoming administration will not only use this to go after anti-war protestors and advocates for the LGBTQ+ community, but that they will go after climate organizations too. We are really going to have to stand strong together. The future is looking grim.
