Where to even start…I saw your interview with Ellen while I was waiting in the waiting room for my mammogram. I was horrified that you defiantly whipped out a vibrator and were so open about it. I swore I would never watch the Netflix series, Grace and Frankie. Well, hell…it kept showing up in my queue and I finally started watching it. To my surprise I could not stop watching it! I have not laughed so hard in my life! I have since googled you and just finished listening to your entire book “My Life So Far”. Although you are a public figure and I a conservative midwestern nurse practitioner, we have a lot of similarities with which I completely identify. My head to heart moment you described, while laughing at the vagina monologues, came to me watching Grace and Frankie! I never thought of my self as a feminist, truly. Now the seed has been planted and I want it to grow! You have searched for meaning and affirmation through writing, articles, discussions with psychiatrist and psychologists, but, Jane, your book alone helped me blow dust out from my inner demons and insecurities! You gave me the confidence to poke my head above the water and see what else is out there in this spectacular world. Thank you for giving me this confidence and gift of self. I believe it was a God thing!
