Just spent last weekend catching up on Grace and Frankie with my mom and little sister. This show has done amazing things for my family. My mother, my sister, and I are all very different types of people and we sometimes find it challenging to agree on things… especially television programming. Grace and Frankie is one of the few shows that the three of us can watch together and have a blast doing so. At 28, I’m something of a bohemian and relate a lot with Frankie, but my mother has recently found new inspiration in Jane Fonda and her character Grace. My mom is beginning to experience the first signs of maturity and I can tell that she struggles with it sometimes. I have noticed that her attitude toward this process improved after being exposed to such a genuine and relatable role model. I’m incredibly grateful for Jane Fonda and her legacy because she has helped to solidify a bond between my little family and boost the confidence of my #1 role model.
