I have resigned the NDP in Canada. It was amicable and I still support many of their policies. My new project is Luthierie, I trained as a violin maker in the mid 80s, and never really followed it. Now I am learning to play guitar and I’m building my first electric guitar, (a Stratocaster). I’m having a great deal of fun with it. View

Duty to Service 6 years, 1 month ago I heard yesterday that a “mine,” Tech Frontier Mine, the largest Tar Sands project ever has been cancelled. They were applying for a 20 billion dollar loan and the application was withdrawn on Sunday, Feb 23. They cited the climate as one of the key reasons for the decision.
This follows massive protests by First Nations People and other across Canada. It is unclear if this will affect the new pipeline they are building to the West Coast, but it seems to be a major victory in Canada’s battle to combat Global Warming.
