Documenting my last day at my current job location. Working in healthcare has become a bit like working in the military. Not quite the same but we are risking our lives, being deployed to more dangerous places, and being trained to do things we never imagined we’d have to do someday. And, just like the military, we take an oath to care for the sick and the injured. We do so at our own risk. I’m being transferred to a more frontline location, but I’m not afraid. I’ve been trained and I keep myself as safe as possible. And I go through it day after day to make sure my patients continue to have days left to go through. It’s a double whammy working in a global pandemic with immune suppressed patients with autoimmune diseases. It’s been a little…overwhelming let’s say. #ProudEssentialWorker #ThankYouEssentialWorkers
