  1. Nothing is so difficult but that it may be found out by seeking.
    “Light seeking light doth light of light beguile.”
    William Shakespeare
    Love’s Labour ’s Lost. Act i. Sc. 1

    “Navarre shall be the wonder of the world;
    Our court shall be a little academe,
    Still and contemplative in living art.”
    William Shakespeare
    Love’s Labour ’s Lost. Act i.

  2. Polly is wise and practical, and I think it was her words, that inspired me as a new mother— Baby wakes up crying in the middle of night, I want to sleep. How to hold crying baby? Cultivate the spaciousness of peace. Being “with” instead of focused on “behavior result” (making baby stop crying, so I can go back to sleep). 19 years later, that image lets me meet what is, in a healing relationship with myself when I feel like crying and holds me in gentle mercy. Thanks for sharing Polly on your . And you are awesome!

  3. I didn’t have this growing up but I have certainly learned it along the way and I share it now so thank you for including the proverb as it means so much to those like myself.
