I was wondering why did Jane do all her early workouts barefoot, than just the mat work barefoot, and than the complete workout with shoes?
Thanks,
Geoff

I have been working out with the Firm & burn dvd for 6 weeks now and feel great. I am 50, and last year had a pulmonary embolism after a severe dehydration from salmolella that I caught in Belgium. For the rest of my life I will have to take lots of pills and take better care of myself, but thanks to my great Hematologist and the support of my…[Read more]
Hi Geoff, of the pre-Complete Workout videos, only the original, the Pregnancy, Birth and Recovery Workout, and Start Up were barefoot for the entirety. The other tapes all started with shoes then removed them for the floor work, as it allowed more mobility for the feet during those exercises. I think after the PBR tape, it was deemed more…[Read more]
Thanks!! I’ve always enjoyed working out barefoot. I do put shoes on for step work, but do all of my mat work barefoot. How long have you been doing Jane’s workouts??
Since the late 80s when I was just a child. My mother received a copy of the original in the mid-80s and found it too difficult, and as the story goes, when she was thinking about returning/exchanging it, found me doing it. Always had (and still have) a preference for the earlier videos. The routines were more vigorous and were ones Jane mainly…[Read more]
I was also, about the same. My Mom got a few of her tapes and Kathy Smith in the early / mid 80’s and I did them with her. She kind of lost interest in doing them and did other fitness activities. I did Jane and Kathy on and off in the 90’s, but got going about 16 years ago. I’m also like you in that I LOVE her older videos!! Her Mat/lower body…[Read more]

I just purchased the Yoga DVD, very excited for it to arrive. I’m a beginner, have to go easy with myself, so this kind of workout will be ideal. Has anyone else found it beneficial?

Just started the Original Jane Fonda workout video (haven’t done it in years); and I wish she would give alternate suggestions on some of the exercises for those of us who cannot do the splits or touch our toes. Will keep at it; but sorely out of shape. I run/jog regularly; but I guess don’t use the same muscle groups.

Wanted to show some of my Jane Fonda Workout items that I’ve collected over the years! I got the sweatshirt/jacket yesterday and wore it last night!! 🙂
Hi Geoff
I was wondering if you have any of the leotard styles Jane wore in her early videos

Hi everyone! I’m thinking about buying one of the soft workouts of Jane. I’m not sure if “Easy Going” one or “Low Impact” one? Anyone that knows both could give me his opinion? which one is better, are the very different? in that case could be worth to buy both of them. Thanks in advance and have a good day!
I Loved Jane Fonda’s Lite Aerobics & Stress Reduction program.
I would recommend Low Impact if you’re looking for primarily cardio. Easy Going is good, but definitely follow Hazel (front corner) if high impact cardio is out of the question. While it’s only 5-6 minutes, she does show some alternate movements keeping a foot on the floor.
If you still have your VCR, I’d agree with Geoff that Stress Reduction…[Read more]
Thank you Michael! If I do not feel like using my VCR, I will buy Low Impact. 🙂
Thank you, Geoff! I will have a look!
