Hi Brigid, that’s a similar comment from some Amazon reviews, too. The DVD has the same music as the original video – only the album/audiotape version had the music from The Jacksons, REO Speedwagon, etc. The album/audiotapes tend to be available on eBay, if you have the equipment to play them. 🙂

The version of the Workout with the Jacksons and REO Speedwagon and others was for the album/audio tape version, as was the case with the New & Improved Workout album. The video versions of the Original Workout and the New Workout did not have music from popular artists.

Hi Nancy, while it is another purchase if you already own the DVDs, the iTunes store sells all 5 of the Workouts. They can be downloaded to your iPad. Amazon also sells them, about half the price that iTunes does. If you buy them from Amazon as digital downloads, all you would need is the Amazon Video app on your iPad – it will let you download…[Read more]

Since the late 80s when I was just a child. My mother received a copy of the original in the mid-80s and found it too difficult, and as the story goes, when she was thinking about returning/exchanging it, found me doing it. Always had (and still have) a preference for the earlier videos. The routines were more vigorous and were ones Jane mainly…[Read more]

Hi Geoff, of the pre-Complete Workout videos, only the original, the Pregnancy, Birth and Recovery Workout, and Start Up were barefoot for the entirety. The other tapes all started with shoes then removed them for the floor work, as it allowed more mobility for the feet during those exercises. I think after the PBR tape, it was deemed more…[Read more]

I would recommend Low Impact if you’re looking for primarily cardio. Easy Going is good, but definitely follow Hazel (front corner) if high impact cardio is out of the question. While it’s only 5-6 minutes, she does show some alternate movements keeping a foot on the floor.
If you still have your VCR, I’d agree with Geoff that Stress Reduction…[Read more]
