The Detroit Institute of Art has an amazing Detroit Industry Mural by Rivera. It is an absolute treasure. The painting of your mother and sister is fascinating!

Wow! Very impressive! It makes me feel like our future is in good hands.

Congratulations, Jane! You deserve it for so many reasons! I will be watching!

I just watched your speech at the Golden Globes. So inspirational! Congratulations!

I just finished watching The Trial of the Chicago 7. Were you already close to Tom Hayden at this time?

Sorry about your loss. What great memories you have of him. Larry King was a legend. Every time I would go out to LA, I would be guaranteed to see him eating breakfast with his group of friends in Nate ‘n Al’s. I never wanted to bother him, but eventually decided to get his autobiography signed by him. He was very kind, graciously signing wit…[Read more]

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JANE!!!
Thank you for asking! I’m in!I have been trying to juggle the many causes that capture my heart, but I need a focus. I’ve come to the conclusion that Climate Change is the umbrella that so many problems fall under. So, with a new year, 2021 (saying 2021 sounds really, really good), I will be funneling my energy into this…[Read more]

Sigh. I am usually a very positive person, but it seems like every time my spirits lift, something else happens that brings it down. Coronavirus numbers all of over the place leaving one with uncertainty and worry. Macho men bringing assault weapons into the capitol building, in my eyes a threat to that Woman from Michigan who I believe is doing…[Read more]

I will definitely be purchasing a copy of this book! Very interesting! Will the stores have autographed copies to sell? Every book I have of yours has been signed. 🙂

I hope you had a nice . . . quiet Easter. Just like you, I sure do miss those family and friend gatherings. I live in the Detroit area. I have been away from my sweet students for 30 days now, seeing some of their smiling faces only on Zoom. It makes me sad and I, of course, worry about the students I have not been able to make contact with yet.…[Read more]

Beautifully written, Jane. I am trying to process everything happening around me, learn from it all, and to be honest, I am just doing my best to make sure family makes it through this. I live in a hotspot, so I pray that the essential working family members and friends stay healthy from this horrific virus. After this is over, the world,…[Read more]

Thank you, Jane. It is going to take a lot to get out of this health and financial nightmare. I will pass this along to our legislatures for the future stimulus measures that will need to be taken. I pray that we get through this pandemic and become a kinder, more compassionate world. Please stay safe and healthy.

2020 is going to be a fabulous, impactful year. We are going to take this country back and lead it back in the right direction! Thank you for your hard work in 2019. I can’t wait to read your book. Perfect! And Tulea is going to be one extremely happy dog!

Wow! I have been reading your blogs since the start. 12 years? Time sure flies by. Thank you, through those years, for allowing us to get to know you a little bit better. 12 years of gaining more and more respect for you. 12 years of learning so much from you. And now I have been able to learn even more from you as I have followed your Teach-Ins…[Read more]

Thank you for posting these on your blog!

When I saw that you had been arrested on the steps of the capitol building I immediately smiled. The publicity this made was perfect. It is so in your blood to protest and I love it! This is the Jane I love, respect, and admire. Thank you for helping lead the fight on such an extremely important crisis. I will tune in on Thursdays at 7:00 to hear…[Read more]

Jane, you once again amaze me with your hard work with the working class of America. Working America is a great group, listening to the needs of the working class of our country. I love their task, Schools and Communities First. (I’m not sure if people understand how important it is to fight for proper funding for public schools.)
Having a…[Read more]

Beautiful artwork!

I totally forgot about the movie, Capernaum, until you mentioned it. I saw previews of it and had put it on my list to see. I will definitely be watching it in the next few days.

It’s good to see you blogging, Jane. I truly enjoy reading your updates, whether it is about current issues, your work, or your personal life.
You are right about our country’s current state of affairs. So many struggles out there, and a good majority of them could be prevented. I am trying to keep my eye on 2020, hoping that the elections will…[Read more]
