O.K., I know, I know, I have previously discussed this, but finally, we found the 2-disc ‘Monster-In-Law’ DVD on Amazon and we loved the extra behind-the-scenes secondary disc. Anyone who hasn’t seen this ‘come out of retirement’ film is missing out! I don’t want to say ‘come-back’ film as I never thought Jane was coming back from anything. We loved it, all the actors/characters are stellar, and their are many favorites. I was happy to learn that Jane liked Jennifer, and that the producer Robert Luketic, so young and brilliant, was awestruck having a legend on the set. That’s all I could think of: ‘this woman is such a legend, she has seen it all, and here is a movie set full of people, most of whom are such newcomers to the industry who have the opportunity to work with this Super-Star.’ I have to say, again, I have followed Jane’s career for eons, yet the woman has never aged, she is even more stunning and beautiful, more luminescent, than she was as a young woman. What’s with that? Has Jane discovered an anti-aging elixir? Stunning is all I can say! Two other films worthy of watching for those that may have missed them is Electric Horseman, and Barefoot in the Park, with Redford- another legend (see Downhill Racer and The Great Gatsby) for starters, and don’t forget to watch for the delightful Mildred Natwick.
