Hello Jane, I am Nanette, age 70, from Rochester, New York, originally from California. I just read your e-book, Prime Time, and I just wanted to let you know what a life-saving, life-changing book is for a woman to “age gracefully.” I was married to my husband, John, for 30 years. He died in August 2015 and since then I have been on a wild roller coaster ride ride of just trying to “move forward”. I have been to widow support grief groups, read books on grief, and I have to tell you your book is the most enlightening lesson now, 3 years later, on how to “age gracefully.” I have been on dating websites, first in February 2016 and got scammed by a dating website scammer, lost $12,000 because he told me he was on a contract for civil engineer, just loan him some money, he will pay me back, then marry me with his $750,000 contract award, etc. My sisters cannot believe and were astounded that I fell for a “catfish” game they call it as I was a legal secretary professional for lawyers in Los Angeles for many years. I even looked up the name of the company the scammer was supposed to be with, Petranus Oil Company, in Malaysia. I then looked up this subject on dating scammers, and there are many women victims like me, educated, professional women who are widows in their 50’s above, with their husbands’ estates, a prime target for dating scammers, even a website for this where the FBI monitors this. Lesson learned the tragic consequential way. So here I am in Rochester, New York, with a beautiful window view, living in a senior apartment, on a social security income, doing good now. But I just wanted to let you know that reading your lessons in life, especially when you left Ted Turner in marriage to become your own valid, strong woman in your own self and sense, that gave me the final courage. You see, I have been involved with Phil, for 2 years now, met him on a dating website in February 2016 and his muscles and Pontiac GTO photo hooked me cause it reminded me of my youthful days cruising on Mulholland Drive in a Pontiac GTO. and he exploded my life after my husband died and brought me back to life. Now what a fool again I moved to New York to be with him, now to make the long story short, he is just using me for his sexual pleasure and emotional comfort. No longer now as I just sent him a letter telling him so. Now my goal is to lose 68 lbs., I am going to the gym, and I have been doing yoga and meditation for 6 years now which brought me through my journey grief of losing my husband. I think you are awesome in sharing your life story to help other women “age gracefully.” It takes a lot of courage and strength to expose one’s innermost life experiences, emotions, events, good and bad. I was just going online to find out how to “age gracefully” and came across your book. You have a fantastic, slim figure and I hope to attain a nice figure also.Again, Jane, thank you so much for being an inspiration to me in guiding me to my self-respect and how to be a woman alone and age gracefully.
