Film, TV & Theater 7 years, 2 months ago Anyone else have trouble posting comments on the blog? How long does it usually take to go from “awaiting moderation” to posted?
Smitty, I’ve been posting about 2 yrs and while it varies in time from about two weeks to one time a month depending when you happen to post. Jane as you know is super busy. Depending on what she has goi8ng on like maybe something coming up she may come on to do that then Post something extra but generally I would say she comes on once a month to read the emails and then post them. So since she has been on this month already, she may not post until next month.She’s starting to work on another book, I think which takes time and energy. Don’t give up. She will come on and post them and respond to some. Hang in there.
Thanks so much for the reply. And I assumed someone else other than Jane took care of little things on the website like filtering comments. Surprised!
Smitty, She does have two helpers. One does some weeding out of really negative comments but nothing gets posted until she reads and blogs. So they are their until she can get the time to do it. I wondered if you would get this or it had to wait until then. Now I learned something too.
Well, it happened again. It shows when someone has posted their comment, and on Jane’s last blog I was the first to comment by 3 days. Others posts have been approved and up – Jane answered all of them (sob) but mine’s still “waiting for moderation” . And as an obvious fan of Jane’s, my comments never have anything negative in them to discourage from being approved. Don’t know what to do…
Look I am in the same boat with you. I have three posts that so far have not been posted/read YET. It looks like they’ve been jumped over. But I believe she is just working the line in some fashion that we can’t make sense of but I believe she will get to them. I have told her in the past that I just want her to read them and she doesn’t have to post them. If her helper has deleted them for whatever reason, I’m going to give it more time to see if she is going to come back to ours. If she doesn’t I will take action then by sending her a note snail mail with my posts in it. I have done this before and she has responded. So patience is the best way. I know I keep looking too but she may not do this all in one sitting or two. She’s been on twice this month. I think she is just swamped because usually she answers and posts all when she does the intional blog within two days. That;s all I can say in the way of guessing at what’s going on. Realize that most actors of her caliber are not being available on blogs at all. Believe me, I know it is frustrating because we want to communicate. Dona
Thank you so much for replying. At least I know I’m not the only one. They definitely have an odd way of approving them if not in chronological order. Anyway, sending something by real mail is a great suggestion, thanks. Do you have or know where I can find her address for things like that? I guess a fan mail P.O box or something?
