Question everyone who is health and fitness savvy, unlike myself. I want to work on building strength, burning any excess fat and toning the muscle groups in my back and my core. I also want to keep my workout “natural” as in without extra equipment and only use body weight. Would pushups everyday be the best choice?
I’d say pushups are a great way to achieve the goal you’re after. They work and tone your entire body after all.

I’m so excited to find this site! I used to work out to Janes original videos in the 70’s & 80’s and I was the fittest I’ve been in my life! Her videos are the one thing that keep me from being anxious and relieve my stress. I’ve been working out to her since I was in my early twenties and I’m 45 now. I hope I look as good as her at 77!

My 5 year old son is mildly autistic and we both love exercising to Jane Fonda’s videos together. He especially likes the 50 min low impact one.

I also used to religiously work out to the original workout-book & album! Just got the DVD and tried out the beginner work-out. I love all of the stretching and it is just what I needed.

Just joined a class in California taught by Molly Fox, an orignal Jane Fonda instructor who now does her own style class. What a hoot! I bought a new leotard and tights because ballet gear reminds me to stay in good posture. If you ever studied ballet, a leotard and tights brings back the discipline. Hi everyone. I am a big Jane Fonda fan. I have not been active for a while and would really like to get back into it. Just got the original workout and JF’s complete workout. So glad this community exists. We can definitely motivate and support each other.

Hi, Sally-read your comment. I’m in the boomers group, too. Which of the videos were aimed at strengthening and toning? Plan on doing original workout and alternating with another JF one that uses weights. The descriptions don’t give much info. Any suggestions?
Hi Carol – it’s good to hear from you. I have only tried Jane’s Am/Pm Yoga dvd so far – the “strength am” part that uses weights. I enjoyed doing it.
